Divider for measurement of mega-volt pulses with nanosecond front

    The divider contains two mutually connected lines placed into a general screen. The first line spreads the main pulse and is a high-voltage oil-filled one. The second line is formed from a cable without a screen, located at the inner wall of the first line, The division coefficient is determined from the solution of an electrostatic problem. The calculational division coefficient (≈100) is confirmed experimentally. The output pulse of a power generator with the amplitude of 2 MV and front duration of 1 ns is detected.
