Abstract
The authors describe a device for acoustic probing of electric fields in solid dielectrics. A procedure is given for reproduction of the shape of the pressure pulse and the pattern of the electric-field distribution. The possibilities of the method are illustrated by the results of probing of specimens with a simulated electric-field distribution and specimens charged by protons.
