Determining the average elasticity modulus values of electric-insulating ceramics

Ceramic materials consist of multiphase compounds and each of the phases has a certain crystallographic symmetry and anisotropy. Therefore, in described the physical properties of such materials it is impossible to use those models of crystalline solids which are based on the theory of a homogeneous and single-phase continuous medium. On the basis of the theory of random functions general mean statistical methods have been developed for calculating the physical properties of microheterogeneous materials, to which it is possible to assign ceramic materials.
