Abstract

The propagation of an operational fatigue crack in the roller of a continuous-casting machine is analyzed. The degradation of the surface is determined by sclerometry. The fracture of 25Kh1M1F steel is investigated, and the influence of the operating time on the steel's fatigue strength is established.
