Abstract

A possibility is investigated of FM detection by means of a neutron source based on a compact betatron at 10 MeV. 1 kg of heavy water or 3.3 kg of beryllium are used as neutron targets. The 235U detection limit was measured in experiments and was 40 mg at 10-min exposure. The calculation value of the sensitivity for 235U is 10-8 g/g.
