Abstract
A suitable method for the destruction of carcinogenic N,N-dimethyl-4-amino-4′-hydroxyazobenzene in laboratory waste has been developed. The method is based on the oxidation of this substance with potassium permanganate under acidic conditions resulting in a deep destruction of the test substance. The differential pulse polarography is a suitable method for checking the completeness of degradation.
