Desorption of hydrogen molecules from a teflon surface under the action of molecular beams

Abstract

A channel of heterogeneous reaction energy accommodation through vibration-vibration energy exchange between reaction products and adsorption layer molecules is studied. The rate of recombination of hydrogen atoms and of nonequilibrium desorption of hydrogen molecules varies periodically with the time of exposing Teflon to an H + H2 mixture. A kinetic mechanism is proposed to describe nonstationary processes on the surface of Teflon. A mathematical model of the processes is suggested.
