Cryoannealing of diopside porcelain

Abstract

The effect of B2O3 additives on the properties of cakes used as a flux and forming melt upon sintering of diopside ceramics is studied within the temperature interval 900-1050oC. The effect of the feldspar additives on the melt thus obtained is also analysed. A possibility of reducing the firing temperature and expanding the interval of sintered state of diopside porcelain to 50oC is shown.
