Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Selective conversion, take three: Densely functionalized azetidine derivatives are formed in an experimentally simple three-component catalytic procedure through the highly selective reaction of readily available terminal alkynes under mild conditions (see scheme). The azetidinimine products are remarkably stable to a wide range of reaction conditions and readily undergo further functionalization.
