Abstract

The paper describes diffraction focusing of the spherical X-ray radiation, experimentally discovered outside the crystal with a temperature gradient or ultrasound oscillations in it. The focus distance is shown to decrease with the rise of the temperature gradient if it is antiparallel to the diffraction vector. In the opposite case defocusing is taking place. Similar results are obtained in case of coherent ultrasound excited in the crystal.
