Constructing the curves of compaction of ceramic powders on basis of one-parameter pressing equation

Abstract

Investigations of processes of ceramic powders compaction during pressing have been performed. Results of the investigations makes it possible to develop mathematical model of pressing the ceramic powders with the use of differential equations. Procedure of constructing the curves of compaction of ceramic powders has been created. Successive unloading of the powder body allows researcher to determine contribution of elastic interaction between particles during compaction. Real process of compaction of nanopowder of ZrO2-5%Y2O3 system is well described by one-parameter equation of logarithm kind.
