Abstract
The technetium-99m extraction generators are used to produce the 99mTc diagnostic pharmaceuticals in the form of a sterile solution for injections. As a rule, the generators are large stationary set-ups with low-effective straight-current extractors, partially hand-controlled. The article reviews the designs of remotely-operated compact generators, that use the repeated cycle of 99mTc extraction by small amount of extractive substances. The design of the portable extractor, that provides self-control over the organic and water phases boundary level, is presented.
