A single-dimensional model of combustion wave propagation in a deformed medium is proposed. The model takes into account the coherence of the deformation and temperature fields. It is demonstrated, that stresses and deformations change the stationary combustion wave temperature profile and the stability loss conditions of the stationary front. The notion of the thermomechanical stability loss, which may take place before the thermal one, is introduced. It is revealed, that the coherence of the deformation and temperature fields can result in the stability loss of the exponential type.
