N2 - A colorimetric sensor was proposed for the visual and solid phase spectrophotometric detection of low-molecular-weight heparin in concentration ranges of 40–120 and 5–40 mg dm–3, respectively, with a detection limit of 2.0 mg dm–3 using a color destruction reaction of toluidine blue immobilized in an optically transparent polymethacrylate matrix.
