Abstract
For investigation, the author took samples of semicoke obtained from Irsha-Borodino coal (USSR) at a pyrolysis temperature of 550-580 degree C. A complex chemical and physicochemical analysis has been made using methods for the separation and treatment of the mineral components (sedimentation, extraction, and successive thermal treatments up to ashing). It has been established that the main mineral components of the semicoke from Irsha-Borodino coal are oxides and carbonates, and also a group of complex silicates.
