Abstract
The structural-phase state of a copper substrate’s surface layer treated with titanium ions is investigated. It is established via X-ray diffraction analysis that intermetalides of the Cu–Ti type formed in the surface layer following treatment. It is found by means of scanning electron microscopy that a netlike porous structure with characteristic crosswise horizontal and vertical element dimensions of ~1–2 μm forms in the surface layer.
