Abstract

The authors discuss the use of the group method for describing the process of retardation of ions in matter. A method is developed of simulating the transfer of the ion beam with the arbitrary energy distribution through a plane parallel absorber. The results are presented of calculations for the cases of interaction between deutron beams produced in the plasma focus and by the method of 'gas dynamic acceleration', and the proton beam generated in the system with the Lewis diode, and a beryllium barrier.
