Abstract
The technique to determine the amplitude error of a inductive voltage divider (IVD) was discussed. The method derived an analytical expression for the amplitude error of the decade IVD, taking the stochastic properties of the braid used for devider winding in to account. The analytical expression for amplitude error of a decade IVD helped to standardize the nominal amplitude frequency response (AFR) and the allowable deviation from it. The method also helped to eliminate the difficulty due to the large amount of calculations in experimentally determining these parameters.
