Abstract
A 15-MeV betatron-generating powerful braking radiation of 0. 16 R per pulse is studied. The necessary flux distribution in the space between the poles of the electromagnet is compensated by a screening winding loaded onto an inductance. The use of dc magnetic excitation enables the energy of the accelerated electrons to be increased by a factor of 1. 5-2.
