Abstract

The asymmetry of parametric x rays emitted by polarized electrons is considered on the basis of quantum theory. The asymmetry value is calculated for emission both in the Bragg direction and in directions different from the Bragg direction by an angle of order γ-1. The asymmetry is computed for the longitudinal and for the transverse polarization of the electrons.
