Abstract

The importance of applying a copper coating to aluminum surfaces is confirmed. A pulsed magnetic-plasma accelerator with a high-current discharge of Z-pinch type may be used for this purpose. Experimental data demonstrate the possibility of creating a high-current Cu - Al contact pair and considerably reducing the contact resistance when using a copper coating applied by means of a magnetic-plasma accelerator.
