Application of the modal control method for stabilization of electromechanical systems with pulse width modulation

Abstract

A method for modal control of electromechanical systems with pulse width modulation (PWM) is considered. Under stationary parameters of a control object the method makes it possible to obtain effective algorithms in an algebraic form. For method illustration the problem of stabilization of the angular position of a direct current motor shaft is studied. The obtained results are presented in the form of a transient for motor shaft position under changing the load inertia moment by 5 times. It is shown that stabilization of the motor shaft angular position is realized during eight periods of PWM.
