Antireflective coatings based on amorphous submicron silica particles for silicate glass: Preparation, morphology of surface, optical properties

Abstract

The structure and properties of dense and porous single-layer antireflective coatings based on fractal and spherical silica particles, respectively, used for silicate glass have been studied. The conditions needed for the synthesis of SiO2 particles of a preset structure and size, as well as physicochemical processes taking place upon the deposition of coatings using the technique of adsorption from solution, are considered. The morphology and optical properties of the coatings are studied. The results of abrasion hardness tests of coatings are presented.
