Abstract
It is shown that an optically transparent polymethacrylate matrix modified with 2,2′-dipyridyl and iron(III) can be used as a sensor for ascorbic acid. A procedure for the solid-phase spectrophotometric and visual determination of ascorbic acid in model solutions and juices using this sensor has been developed and validated.
