Alumina for microcomposite ceramics prepared by sol-gel method

Abstract

A possibility to prepare alumina with microcomposite structure and microplastic properties using sol-gels at room temperature is discussed. It is shown that high-strength alumina prepared using sol-gel periodic solutions can be used as a matrix for microcomposite ceramic materials.
