The adsorption of cumene, isooctane, and n-octane on SU, DA, and TsSK catalysts were studied by means of temperature-programmed desorption and IR spectroscopy. The acidity of the surface of TsSK hydrocarbon-cracking catalyst was estimated. In the absence of strong acidic sites, the attachment of the hydrocarbons to the catalyst surface weakens, and, as a consequence, the intensity of coking decreases.
