Activation of copper and alumina powders in ball mill

Abstract

This paper actually presents the outcomes of powder mix activation in a planetary spherical mill at various modes of processing. The powders of aluminum oxide and copper have been researched. The ratio of initial powders mass and processing time in a spherical mill have been changed. According to the results the increase of processing period leads to powder particles crushing and introduction of firmer aluminum oxide powder particles in copper particles. There were no any changes in powder phase structure during the activation. Particles agglomerations at five minute processing time have not been observed.
