Abstract

A two-dimensional code in the cylindric coordinate system is presented that is intended for the study of nonstationary nonlinear interaction of an electron beam with axially asymmetric waves in the regimes of injection and self-matched electron emission from a cathode. Results of a numerical investigation of the amplification and generation regime in a coaxial triode with the virtual cathode (vircator) are given.
