The design of a high-power ultrawideband electromagnetic pulse generator that consists of a bipolar pulse generator and transmit antenna is reported. Characteristics of the electromagnetic pulse radiated by the transmit antenna (driven by ±100-kV, 3.5-ns pulses at a 100-Hz repetition rate) are presented.
