CERN to Upgrade Sensors with Joint Development of British and TPU Scientists

    Press/Media: Research

Scientists from Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) suggested the development of new sensors for the Large Hadron Collider on the basis of thin diamond films grown in Tomsk Polytechnic University. Such sensors, according to British scientists, will have high durability, fast reaction to the collision of charged particles and radiation resistance and resolution, hence - experiment data at the Large Hadron Collider will be more accurate and of high quality.
